It can also be transformed into a sofa bed by the addition of an extension pack. It isn't able to feed your baby, or magically make them sleep, it will rock them until they go off!
The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of Chicco's more expensive alternatives. However, it has numerous excellent features. It can be used either a side-sleeper or as a standalone crib, and is suitable for babies from birth to six months. It's easy to open and close the side panel using the new mechanism. It's also more flexible than its predecessor, having 11 different height settings as well as retractable legs for a secure fit underneath any bed.
Our testers were impressed with the simple access the side panel provides that can be flipped up and down by pressing the button. This was particularly helpful during nighttime feedings as they could reach in and pick their baby up without disturbing them.
The side panel can be lowered on its own however, it's not recommended since it increases the risk of your baby falling out of the cot. The patented safety locking system ensures that the side panel will stay down if it is attached correctly to the mattress of the parent. This is an excellent feature to have for peace of mind, especially if you're breastfeeding and require frequent nighttime feedings.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be compatible with any bed that is divan-based as well as beds with drawers thanks to the legs that telescopic. It also comes with a tilting function for reflux babies and a rocking mode that can bring them back to sleep after eating. It's also extremely large and offers excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.

The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our test subjects even with the lengthy instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than other side-sleepers but it's still very mobile and can be moved from room room easily. It's small enough to fit in a travel bag when not in use which is an advantage if you need to transport it. The only downside our testers found was that the side panel didn't move as much as the other models, which made it difficult to see your baby from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air bedside crib is a great option when you're looking for an infant crib that will grow with your child. It's a sleeper crib that is securely attached to your bed and can be turned into a stylish cot when your baby is old enough. Ideal for feeding at night and enhancing the bond between you and your baby's new.
Contrary to other models of bedside crib like the Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. The mesh side panels with dual-view and airflow mattress that is hypoallergenic and breathable allow for maximum airflow, keeping your baby cool and comfortable. The gentle slope helps reduce colic and reflux. The zip-down side allows you to feed your baby or soothe them during the night.
The kit for conversion to cot is also well-designed with clear instructions. It includes everything you require. It took us around an hour to put together and was surprisingly simple. The only issue was the absence of captions in writing on some of the pictures which made it difficult to understand certain steps. Overall, it was a straightforward process and the quality of the materials employed was of a high standard.
In the co-sleeping position, we found the Shnuggle Air to be an excellent option for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a C-section, as it allows them to comfortably reach out to their baby for feeding and comfort without having to leave their bed. It's a great option for parents who don't want the hassle of putting their baby in a traditional cot or getting them out of it.
During our testing we noticed the smooth motion of this next to me crib to be especially beneficial in getting babies to sleep after feedings at night and midday. The drop-down side makes it easy to feed or soothe babies during the night. bedside cosleeper was a major selling point for our tired test moms. Although it doesn't rock or have extra features, like a sound system, the Joie Roomie Slide's sleek design and functional features make it a great addition to our top crib reviews for bed.
